Samsung i300: The Smarter Music Solution

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carly_Charu]Carly Charu The Samsung i300 is a milestone handset for the manufacturers. Though Samsung is in the market since the beginning, but its current crop of handset doesn’t compare well against other company’s top end solutions. Samsung is all set to turn things around in their favor with their first smartphone Samsung i300. The design of the Samsung i300 is marked by the prevalence of strict lines that makes the shiny round joystick more noticeable. The candy-bar form case is composed of expensive plastic with a nice mixture of different textures making the phone very pleasant to touch. The handset have just the right proportion of the length and width so fits perfectly to the hand. The Samsung i300 features Windows Mobile instead of Symbian operating system which is very heartening. Working with the Samsung i300 is just like your PC…well almost. Most of the office functions works pretty much like normal ‘Window’. This is backed up by 64 Mb user flash memory, a massive 3GB hard disk and also an external memory card slot, the later, I deem as quite unnecessary. Interestingly, this smartphone is positioned by Samsung as a music solution. Other than the huge memory pool, the Samsung i300 also have an upper hand in music playback with the popular Windows Media Player and twin stereo speakers with 3D surround sound as well as optional Stereo Bluetooth headset. .The 262k colour capable TFT display of the Samsung i300 acts as a perfect viewfinder for the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera. Other than still photographs, you can capture high resolution videos and save it or share with your friends through MMS or email. Attachments in all popular format including JPEG and PDF files can be send and received. Explore the GPRS powered Internet with Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer. The Samsung i300 synchronizes well with Outlook via Bluetooth, USB as well as Infrared. The [http://www.mobilerainbow.org/Samsung/samsung-I300.html]Samsung i300 is quite a strong smartphone endowed with great sound producing quality and a really big memory pool. Fat Burning Spices

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By Michael Huddleston Chili Powder - Like all peppers containing capsaicin, chili powder is a powerful stimulant that raises your body’s temperature and helps you burn calories faster. Chili is another good spice for spaghetti sauce and of course, vegetarian chili. Cinnamon - Cinnamon, cloves, turmeric and bay leaves actually have drug-like properties that help us handle the sugar in sweets. Dr. Anderson discovered that these various spices help stimulate insulin activity, which means the body can process sugar more efficiently and, therefore, needs less insulin. Only a little cinnamon, such as the small amounts sprinkled on toast or oatmeal, can stimulate insulin activity. A dash of cinnamon may help keep blood sugar in check. Fennel Seeds - The Greek termed fennel, meaning to grow thin. Fennel seed is good to have before a meal, as it curbs your appetite. Drink fennel tea or add fennel when baking bread or muffins. Ginger - An Australian study proved that ginger revs up the metabolism and burns off calories. Biochemists applied both fresh and dried ginger extracts to the tissue of animals and found that the spice induced tissues to use up more than 20% more energy than usual. Chinese herbalists prescribe ginger for weight loss, because of its warming ability. By raising body temperature, ginger helps stimulate the body’s fat burning mechanisms. It has also been proven in Ayurveda medicine (a medicine system from India aimed at balancing the body through diet, meditation, herbs and massage, so the body can heal itself), to help relieve arthritic pain. Slice up gingerroot and eat it with rice or stir-fry, or boil it and drink as tea, 3 times per day. Garlic - Garlic heats up the immune system and is known for its healing properties for colds and flu. Garlic is another potent diuretic and an excellent weight loss aid. Use garlic in just about anything; spaghetti sauce, soups, salad dressings and stir-fry. Parsley - The ancient Greeks used parsley as an aphrodisiac and to enhance beauty and youthfulness. Today, it’s primarily used to stimulate the circulatory system, increase energy and fight water retention. Most people also know it as a breath freshener. You can use parsley in any recipe. Better than dried herb, chopped raw, fresh parsley. http://www.carbohydrate-guide.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Huddleston http://EzineArticles.com/?Fat-Burning-Spices&id=385749 prescription meds online discount prescription buy cheap levitra online generic levitra vardenafil

Making My Marriage Work - Should You Lock Up the Kids and Get Out the Saran Wrap?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Liz Wasson What does it take to make a marriage work in the 21st Century? Have people and lives changed to the point where we need new skills and ideas to make our marriages work? Consider this - while 63 percent of all marriages are working in the U.S. more and more people are spending less and less time together. Less time together increases the odds of drifting apart. What are some steps that you can take? Making My Marriage Work - Step #1 If you have one you’re going to understand what I’m about to say. If you don’t have one - don’t get one. Put down the Blackberry. Put down the Palm Pilot. Put down the Ipod. Put down the Treo and hands off that keyboard! One of the biggest competitors in a marriage is the electronic interference. Turn off the electronics and turn on the conversation. Making My Marriage Work - Step #2 Schedule a date night. It’s best if you do this once a week or every 10 days. Remember when you first met and how exciting dating was? The anticipation, the flirting, the good night kiss or race to the bedroom? Those were the days and they can still be the days once you create a date night. Making My Marriage Work - Step #3 Keep children in the proper perspective. Children and the raising of children can come between many couples. When children are young many mothers feel that they must always be available. Many times at the cost of their marriage. Key to a good marriage is balance between the children and your spouse. This is something that should be discussed often and with a sense of humor! Making My Marriage Work - Step #4 When partners drift apart from one another either due to children or busy lives, many times the trust begins to waver. When one spouse doesn’t feel included or doesn’t have time for the other spouse tension mounts. This is why creating a date night is so important. Also important is humor. A good sense of humor is probably one of the most important aspects to a healthy relationship. Someone can say almost anything if they say it with a sense of humor - late night comedians make their living doing this. Keep your sense of humor and if you don’t have one start exercising your funny bone daily. What are the four easy steps to making my marriage work? Putting down the electronics, creating a date night, balancing the children and flexing your funny bone. This is a combination that can’t be beat. Don’t just read about it - turn your marriage around today! It’s Time to Leave Your Job When

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

By Jeffrey Hauser Ive been working in some capacity since I was twelve. I began delivering newspapers in the neighborhood, was a stock boy at a local childrens clothing store, and did various jobs throughout college. I began full-time employment when I graduated in 1970 and have worked ever since. My last job lasted nearly 25 years. Since college, Ive been in advertising and marketing, which matched my degree. It had its ups and downs, but was mostly economically rewarding and emotionally satisfying. Every workday, I would get up and think about what the business world would hold for me in the next several hours. For the most part, it was something to which I looked forward. But there were other factors involved. My coworkers were also my friends, to a large extent. Many were people with whom I socialized. Then there was the working conditions. This company provided the latest computers and Internet access, fax machines and my cell phone. I had a nice office with a view from the third floor, a lunch room, and covered parking. I received a generous car allowance and many other perks. Because I was in commissioned sales, I was often given bonuses or spiffs as incentives along with awards and trips to places like Hawaii, for outstanding performance. I had a terrific compensation package including all my insurance, 401K and pension plans. You might say I was spoiled and had nothing to complain about and you would be right. So, why did I dread the job on certain days? Sure, I had to go to mandatory all- day meetings where I listened to statistical reports that were boring ad nausea, but so what? Lots of employees are dragged into meetings. Other days, I had to face irate clients or long drives to customers that rarely bought anything. Yet, thats all part of a salesmans lot. So, why were there days when I wanted to do anything but go to work? Okay, Im a bit of a whiner, but who isnt? So, getting back to my topic, what are the real warning signs that maybe its time for a change of job scenery? Its more than dreading meetings, facing your boss, or hoping for more pay. Its an attitude. Here are some basic warning signs that may have you rethinking your employment. Its time to leave your job when (1) You begin having anxiety attacks when you merely think of having to go to work. (2) You constantly complain about the tiniest work-related issue to friends, family or anyone that will pay attention. (3) Nights and weekends are the only time you appear genuinely happy. (4) You notice you are having more and more illnesses preventing you from working, or (5) You get frequent headaches at the workplace. (6) You find excuses to pick fights with coworkers. (7) You have evil thoughts about your boss. (8) You resent the company for almost no reason other than its there. (9) You invent reasons why the product or service you sell are faulty. (10) The job is never satisfying on any level. (11) As you drive to work, you concoct reasons why this day will be the worse day of your life. (12) You are convinced that a vengeful God placed you in this position. The bottom line is that there is no use being miserable. Just as if you were in a lousy marriage, its time to consider a divorce, in this case, from your job. You are probably thinking that its easier said than done. Youre right, but life is too short to be stuck in a place you hate. Its time to grab the want ads and rethink your future. You be happier, less ill, and have more to look forward to each and every day. Remember, there is always a better job out there somewhere just waiting for you if youre willing to seek it out. Online Dating Safety Tips: 8 Essential Steps to Successful Internet Dating

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Elena Solomon Compared to the “real world” dating, some people view online dating as less safe. Nothing can be further from the truth! The opinion probably persists due to the fact that in real life we usually meet people who were introduced to us by someone we know and trust, or in a transparent situation, such as at work or school/university. But because no one introduces you to your online dates, this does not mean online dating is unsafe - quite the opposite! In fact, meeting someone online is much safer than meeting someone at your local bar: you cannot get hurt by sitting in front of your computer. All you need to do to make online dating work for you is to exercise some caution. You would not let a stranger into your home and your private life, without getting to know them first, would you? Don’t do it online, either. Here are 8 essential steps that will help you make your online dating experience secure and rewarding. 1. Anonymous Dating It’s a great advantage that contacts entered through an online dating site are anonymous, so you can maintain your privacy, but there are some drawbacks, too - some people might not be what they say they are. While there are not many people like this, they do exist. Most dating sites don’t screen their members. You should exercise caution and common sense in your communication with other members. 2. Overseas Contacts Be especially careful in communication with members from other countries than your own. Some people might try to use your limited knowledge of those countries to take advantage of you. Please be advised to never wire any finance on request of overseas members, whether to help in an emergency or travel arrangements. If you intend to meet overseas members, remember to consult your immigration authorities first, and choose an appropriate option. 3. Getting to know each other Never give your personally identifiable information to anyone you do not know well. Use the website’s anonymous messaging system for the first contacts. Ask many questions and listen to their answers: - Do they answer the questions you ask? - Does their story seem credible? - Don’t they avoid certain questions, such as their marital situation, who they live with etc? - Aren’t they too sweet and seem to agree with everything you say? Those are the red flags that should make you cautious. 4. Sending photos It is the old truth that the picture is worth a thousand words. Ask the people you are writing to for their photos and send them yours. If they never ask for your photos, this is strange because everyone wants to know how the person they are dating looks like! Don’t send old photos or photos where you don’t look like your real self: once you meet in real life, the picture should match the person behind it, or they will feel disappointed. But it does not mean you cannot send pictures that present you in the best way: send a photo of yourself with a happy smile; it’s always a winner! When your dates look at your photos, they try to figure out what type of person you are: if you look grumpy, they will think you are grumpy. If you look happy and easygoing, this, too, is what they will think of you. If you do not have recent photos, ask a friend with a digital camera to take some pictures of you. Choose the best shots only and erase the ones you don’t like. Ask your correspondents how recent the photos are they sent you to avoid a possible disappointment. 5. Giving away your email address When you feel comfortable with your communication, you can give them your personal email address. Register a separate email account for this purpose, and only use it for your personal correspondence. If something goes wrong in your relationships, you can always close down this account and open a new one. Keep asking questions and discuss different things. If all your communication seems to be going one way, then they probably have their own agenda. 6. Giving away your phone number When you feel comfortable with the person you have been emailing to, give them your contact phone number, preferably your mobile. Do not give away your work number (or your work email address), ever! After all, you do not want someone to email your boss or phone your office, in case the relationship does not work. 7. Meeting face to face After you have emailed one another, and talked on the phone a few times, it’s time to meet face to face. If people are happy to communicate with you online but don’t want to use the phone or meet you in person, this might be due to the fact that they have misrepresented themselves. Real, honest people that seek love and partnership don’t want never-ending virtual courtship; they want the real thing. Only meet in a public place for the first date, and preferably, set up a time limit for the date. For example, you can say you only have half an hour before a business appointment; this will help if the date does not go as you hoped for. A ‘coffee date’ is a safe bet. If you are a woman, never go to unknown places; instead, suggest your own variant of a place for the meeting, where service personnel knows you, at least visually. If a man is decent, he will honor your request. Tell someone that you have a date with a person you have met online; it can be your mother or a sibling, a person, who will not judge you. If you don’t feel like telling anyone, make a note about the person you are meeting and how you got to know him/her, and place it where this information can be found. Have your own transport to get home from the place of the meeting; better still, have a friend to fetch you. Never allow your date to take you home, even if something is wrong with your car. Phone a friend or call a taxi instead. Make sure you are not followed when leaving the place of the meeting - especially if no one has shown up. When you meet your date, don’t jump to conclusions straight away. You might unintentionally create an image in your mind, which is different from the real person; this is not their fault; give them a chance. It’s quite common to feel awkward at first; simply relax and try not to concentrate on the outcome: doesn’t matter if they like you or not, you are still enjoying the date. If you need to concentrate on something, concentrate on having fun! If this helps, remember that they are also nervous and they can only hope you will like them. Smile! Nothing helps to break the ice better than friendliness and openness. Talk about something that you have shared in your last emails, so that they feel you are indeed the same person they have been talking to for a while. But still, use caution. Have your mobile phone with you. Don’t leave your drink unattended. If you have to leave the table, order a fresh drink on your return. Pay for yourself. If you decided to never meet this person again, do not tell them about it on the date. Tell about it in an email. If the person asks how the date was, tell them: ‘Great! I will email you tonight’. It’s not easy to face rejection, so make it as polite and nice, as you can. 8. Advancing your relationship If you enjoyed the first date, keep seeing one another for a while before moving further. Don’t progress too fast; you must really get to know the person before deciding to have a relationship of any kind. If the person shares with you a land-line phone number, presents a business card etc, those are good signs: they trust you and want to continue the relationship. It’s now up to you to decide, whether to accept their invitation or not. Most of all - HAVE FUN, because this is what it’s all about. Some people will not be what you are looking for, and you cannot be right for everyone. But if you persist, you will be doing better and better. It takes loads of rubble to find gold. Remember that each encounter is a learning experience that can make you more successful. You may be yet another person to find your soul mate through an online dating site - just like thousands of other people before you! Happy dating! ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Elena Solomon is a dating coach. Understanding Your Heroic Journey

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

By Saleem Rana Everyone on this planet is on their own particular heroic journey, an archetypal journey of the hero or heroine that has been portrayed throughout recorded time in the mythology of the world. Here is a brief explanation of the meaning of the archetypes used to describe the heroes journey. It begins with departure from the known or conventional, from consensual reality. It proceeds onto initiation. And it culminates in our return to tell others about the lessons of our adventures, and hopefully to provide a map to those who may follow. During the departure stage, there is a call to adventure, a sudden understanding that things are going to change. This call disrupts a comfortable routine and the person often feels inadequate and unprepared for the journey. However, once a decision is made to take the leap into the unknown, supernatural aid appears. This is usually in the form of meeting the right people or stumbling upon some necessary new information or resources that will initiate the journey. Once the first threshold is crossed, the journey begins in earnest. And it is now when the hero or heroine finds themselves in the belly of the whale, which is a time of metamorphosis, an entry into a dark place where the skills learned before the journey no longer work. Now begins the initiation. Before the transformation can occur, trials, tests, and heavy ordeals must be borne. Failure is now the norm because the new has to be explored through trial and error. As the trials proceeds, the Goddess is met. This is a symbol for unconditional love and acceptance of self, a renewal of self-unification, an amplification of intention. Then, something unexpected happensthe temptress is met. This in world mythology has been personified to be a woman. It comes to symbolize the desire to be seduced by the lure of what once existed, the comfort of returning to the known. If this temptation is resisted, then something else has to be confronted in its place: atonement with the Father. This means that one has to die to the old in order to fully assume the powers of the new. An incredible power is met and surrendered too. Only in this way can the old self die so that the new self, the transformed one, can live. Once this condition is met, there is an apotheosis, deification. A heavenly state is attained; the person becomes divine in some way. With this transformation, the ultimate boon is granted, the Holy Grail is found, the journey is successfully completed and what the person came to get has been secured. After this, however, the return has to take place. Again, as in the very beginning, there is a deep reluctance. There is an initial refusal to return. Sometimes, too, once one has secured the goal, one must escape from the jealous guardians of the secret that has been won. Now, with the journey in its descent, after reaching a lofty ascent, the hero or heroine once again is in need of guides and assistants on how to return. Again, too, a threshold has to be crossed, this time back to where the person came from. Now the person has become master of two worlds, the new and the old, or the inner and the outer. A new freedom to live has been experienced. All of us travel through these three stages, with their numerous substrates, when we begin and complete the heroic journey. When a new mother has her first child, when a young person secures their first job, when a traditionally employed person leaps to become an entrepreneur, when a writer sets to create a new book, or when somebody goes to a specialist to seek healing for a wounded psychethe heroic journey begins. Mythology speaks of this journey and gives us all a map on what the stages of it are. Understanding the symbols behind the myths help us complete our own particular journey. Without truly grasping the import of the heroic journey, as told throughout time and transmitted via the language and traditions of diverse people, we may not recognize that we are all heroes, and we may either get lost along the way or shirk the completion of our unique quest. People can be obvious outer heroes, whose name and accomplishment are made known as significant points in history; and they can also be inner heroes, spiritual adventurers seeking a refinement of sensibility that leads to deep spiritual understanding; and they can be you and I, as we step into a new phase in our lives where we must transform ourselves because vital structures of our lives have collapsed and something new has to be grasped. Cash Advance Payday Loans: Yes The Rates Are Higher!

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Greg_Ford]Greg Ford Typically Cash Advance Payday Loans have no credit checks, and a very minimal amount of paper work. They are mainly concerned that you are, whom you say, you are. And, that you have the income, and the ability, to pay back the loan. And, that you have a checking account. Cash advance loans are designed for emergency situations! When you are short on cash and need money fast! Family emergencies, unexpected car repairs, overdrafts, telephone reconnection, unexpected bill, etc. The Cash Advance Payday Loan industry is the subject of much criticism. Most of it coming from members of the regular established lending industry, banks and credit unions. This is because of the interest rates and fees involved with these short-term payday loans. Typically if you receive a $100 Cash Advance 7 to 14 days later you will be required to pay back about $125. That may not sound so bad, especially if you really needed that $100 at the time, and know you can easily pay it back plus the extra $25 when you get paid from your job. But if compared to maybe a 6% interest rate from a bank, or even a high 29% if taking a cash advance from a credit card… using the same repayment period, this Payday Loan would equate to somewhere near 500% So consider If you are strictly comparing interest rates to interest rates, there is no question that the A.P.R. on payday loans are outrageous! But also consider this will a bank or credit union loan you a quick $100 when you really need it? How about that same day, or within 24 hours? If you have some credit issues will a bank or credit union even talk to you at all? Even if you have A1 credit, and are in a situation where you needed a little quick extra cash it is very unlikely you can walk into any bank and get it within 24 hours. The one exception would be if you already had a pre-establish line of credit with your own bank. The bottom line is that Cash Advance Payday Loans exist for a reason. They supply a definite need, and there is a definite demand. Most of their customers are not the ones who banks, and credit, union are very anxious to lend money too. And with Online Cash Advance services you never have to leave your home. Cash Advance companies loan money to people with no credit checks, and very little documentation! That, by anybody’s definition, is considered a high risk loan. Of course the interest rate is going to be much higher. If you are thinking about using these services the important thing to consider is: * What is it Going to Cost You to Get the Money? * What is it Going To Cost You, If You Dont Get The Money? * Do You Really Need that Money Now? * Can You Make It To Payday Without It? Getting a Cash Advance, in itself, is not a bad thing! However, if you choose to accept a payday cash advance be fully aware of what you are doing. Before you accept that money advance make sure you know: * The Exact Total Amount That Must be Repaid. * What Date That Payment is Due. * Be Certain That You Will Have the Money to Make That Payment. Make sure, when you get a payday loan that you are using it for the shortest amount of time possible and get the lowest cash amount you can get by with. This will help you keep your fees to a minimum. There is never any cost, or obligation, to simply apply online with a Cash Advance company. When you are approved, you are still under no obligation to accept the loan. Pros And Cons Of Lasik

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

By Kevin Stith LASIK eye surgery has been the most recent development in correcting visual problems and thus, an alluring option for people suffering from similar diseases. However, like all the other developments in medical science, a LASIK surgery also has its advantages and disadvantages contributing to the pros and cons of a LASIK surgery. The best way to reap the utmost benefits of LASIK surgery would be to gain enough knowledge about the pros and cons and then decide whether opting for a LASIK would be really beneficial or not. Comprehensive tests and screening combined with consultation with the concerned doctor would then, help the patients in evaluating the consequences. LASIK surgery is known to have quick recovery and immediate results. It has been observed that the eye acuity of the patients improves up to 85% within a day of the surgery. LASIK surgery can be performed within minutes and is essentially painless. Compared to other types of eye surgery, only a short gap is required for performing LASIK surgery on both the eyes on the same day. Most of the LASIK patients describe the operating procedure involving a sensation of pressure while the corneal flap is being created, but not pain. While the pros of LASIK seem quite impressive, the cons may equally involve sufficient consideration and importance. If diagnosed incorrectly, LASIK surgery may lead to permanent debilitating visual symptoms such as double vision, night vision, glares, and halos. In case of farsighted patients, the effects of the surgery may reduce with age and the person may go back to the usage of glasses or contact lenses. The success of the surgery depends largely on the efficiency of the operating surgeon and staff training and thus, choosing an experienced LASIK surgeon becomes crucial. The possibilities of an imperfect flap and other surgical disorders may require repeating the process within 3 to 6 months of the first operation. The lack of long-term scientific studies has raised doubts about the safety of the procedure, but with the increasing number of patients and over the course of time, it might become more reliable and safer.
